Is It Awkward Doing a Boudoir Shoot?

Every woman wonders if this experience will be awkward, so I'm gonna save you the stressful sleepless nights (no really, women have told me they have mini meltdowns when they think about a boudoir shoot)

Here's what you're picturing

You're picturing yourself standing in your unmentionables at your shoot, arms crossed over your body, and second guessing your outfit choices. Then I come in circling you like a hyena, ready to attack all the insecurities you've had about your body and confirm they are true. That's not a shoot, that's a damn nightmare you have after watching too many documentaries.

Here's what actually happens

You arrive and in the first hour, you're not even thinking about the camera. You're getting your hair and makeup done, sipping a drink, and gabbing with us about life. Your favorite music plays in the background and you feel a little more excitement kicking in. By the time we get to the photos, you forget all about how much skin is exposed and try to process which toe I just told you to point while laughing. That's because, I'm giving you full posing direction. And when I say full, I mean it - which hand goes where, what your eyes should be doing, how to breathe. All with my goofy commentary and sound effects that just involuntarily pop out of my mouth when I see your confidence starting to kick in Curious what your full session includes? I break it all down here

The moment it actually clicks

Then, without you even realizing it, you start letting go and trusting the process. Even though you can't tell it's happening, I can, and that's what I'm capturing to show you. Maybe it's an amazing smolder with eye contact or laughing at how silly a pose might feel. Sometimes it's just your personality shining more as the shoot goes on. Clients describe it differently every time:

  • Everything I felt through the session was reflected in the photos

  • It felt like I was hanging out with my lifelong friend

  • The light and casual atmosphere made me so comfortable from the beginning

Each time, it ends with photos that will amaze you and make you fall madly in love with them

You keep putting this off. Meanwhile, this is what's actually happening in my studio

So, is it awkward?

Maybe for about ninety seconds, but then it's just fun!

If you're the woman still hesitant about this, here's why it's exactly right for you: because you want to do it. The fact that you're reading this, exploring, maybe typing this exact question into the search bar...you just have to want it, and that's all you need to have an amazing experience. Once you reach out, I guide you all the way to the end and your nerves will melt away. Ready to stop wondering and find out for yourself? Book your consultation and let's talk through your questions. It's a friendly, relaxed conversation to see if this is right for you.

You may also wonder...

Do I have to be completely uncovered?

Absolutely not! If you don't feel comfortable in your birthday suit, that's totally fine. I leave the room while you change and I have a robe available to cover up until my camera is ready. Even during implied nudes, you can stay covered with the sheets and I will adjust them as needed. I'm not here to sneak a peek, I'm here to showcase your gorgeous body in as much or as little clothing as you want

Since space is limited and I need your full attention, the glam team leaves afterwards and any of your guests are asked to step out during the actual shoot. We definitely don't want to make you feel like you have a literal studio audience watching

I'd prefer if you didn't know how to do those things, actually. I demonstrate each pose and have you mimic what I do. I'm also adjusting based on your movements to keep your boudoir photos more authentic. The expressions that follow are just what happen naturally so no need to practice beforehand
